On May 10, a new edition of the ITM meeting that Magapor organizes every year began. After a few years without being able to be held, a new and very special edition was held in the city of Seville. The opening of this congress was carried out by Mr. Jesús Mena, General Manager of Magapor; Mrs. Raquel Ausejo, Technical Director and Miguel Ángel Higuera, Director of ANPROGRAPOR. The National Association of Pig Producers (ANPROGAPOR) is a non-profit organization that represents and defends the interests of pig farmers in Spain.

The fifteenth edition brought together more than 300 sector specialists from 37 countries, and ended on the 11th with great satisfaction on the part of attendees and organizers. This was achieved thanks to the participation of 20 speakers of international prestige, with talks that were a great success among the attendees.

The swine sector is in continuous evolution and technification, and is constantly facing new challenges. For this reason, the theme of this edition was “The new actors in the future of swine production”.

During these conferences, not only these new challenges faced by the sector were discussed. Also, tips for the production of seminal doses and practical techniques used in insemination centers or insemination centers in the Iberian sector, among others. At the end of the first day, there was a round table with experts from different international reference companies on the feeding of the future boar.

In these presentations there was also place for the management of the females, and during the second day there was a talk on recommendations on peripartum. In addition, as on the previous day, the event ended with a round table on the new challenges derived from hyperprolificacy.

This event is much more than a congress, as it has become a meeting point where attendees can share their experiences with people from all over the world. The ITM is possible thanks to the involvement of the attendees and for this reason Magapor would like to take this opportunity to thank all attendees for their participation.
